National Handloom Day is observed in India on 7th August every year. To honour the ingenuity and artistry of Indian weavers and to encourage the use of indigenous, handcrafted textiles, teachers as well as students of grades I to V adorned themselves in traditional attire to represent various states of India. A deep sense of pride was kindled in these young minds as the significance of handloom was thoroughly explored and discussed in the classroom.
